Chapter 14

I walk for hours, my thoughts too agitated for sleep, my blood too hot for repose. Every inhale brings the scent of Olivia to my flaring nostrils. I can still feel her lips against mine.

They were so soft, like flower petals, but firm, like the tender flesh of a milit fruit.

When she licked me, my cock released a small spurt of seed in my pants. The hot sensation, followed quickly by the shame of it, shocked me so much that I fled into the night like an idiot. I stripped off all of my clothes at the first stream I passed, scrubbing them clean, and then I cooled my overheated body by submerging in the icy cold water until my skin turned even bluer.

Hours later, my clothes are still damp. And I’m still an idiot.

And I want to do more. I want to bear her down to the ground and rut in her like an animal. I want my cock to penetrate her body, delving deep into her womb, until I paint her insides with my seed. I want her to wail her release so loudly everyone on this forsaken planet will hear her pleasure and know I gave it to her. Me. The Csevadian. I want to plant my young in her body, to breed her.

I am at a loss, however, as to what to do about my urges.

I hurt her when I ran away after our kiss, I’m sure of it. And she has Orix at hand to soothe that hurt. Orix, who also wants to mate her. My hands clench into fists. For someone who only just discovered I could feel physical desire, I’m degenerating rapidly into jealousy and possessiveness. It’s a slippery slope, and I’m sliding fast.

Another ship passes overhead with a dull roar. That’s the second one in the past two hours. The Citadel is likely overrun with Federal auditors. They’ve probably discovered the Warden’s side deal with my employer by now. And noticed Orix is missing. Our time is running out.

We need to find Olivia’s ship, or I’ll have to call my employer for rescue or be sent home to my parents in disgrace, and Orix will be confined again, likely in a more restrictive prison.
